
- To promote fellowship among Missouri surgeons with the common goal of elevating the standards of surgical practice.
- To provide mediums to exchange information of common interest.
- To provide a forum for members to influence young surgeons and surgeons in training on matters of patient care and ethics of practice.
- To offer collective and individual members' assistance to other groups attempting to enhance the health of the community.
- To focus community attention on national college programs concerning trauma, cancer, patient education, and socio-economic issues.
- To participate in socioeconomic activities at the state and federal levels.
